A Murderer’s Justification

I knocked on the door
A response came from Jack, I
Turned to leave at once

But a hand was waved
Signalling me to come in.
He’s just saying welcome

The cage sprung open,
Dog attempted to devour
I ran till I fell.

A stick lied in sight,
With pure intentions to scare,
Jack still came closer

From last wave of stick
Came shout of pain, and blood pool.
I didn’t plan to kill
