One For The School

Dry and shattered like a spider’s web,
Mitigation please, I plead guilty,
Teach me to love, take me back to school,
You’re not best but I love your pretty.

In my vague ache of love memory,
I’ve been a rogue to myself,
Take me back to school, teach me to love,
I picture daily our reverie

Mum never said to Dad ‘I love you’,
Atrophy of emotions,
Teach me to love, take me back to school,
Rising my dreams should be good motions.

Sharpen blunt the edges of my heart,
I will conceive a new truth,
Take me back to school, teach me to love,
Age back my ‘supposed’ old thought to youth.
