One For The School

Aside from friends that turned family,
And fine girls we got to touch,
I got to hate you from our first date.
Mathematics seemed to be taught in Dutch.

But I fell in love with your field trips,
For adventure was way of life.
From our first date, you, I got to hate.
You provided my best friend a wife.

There is no wasted knowledge you say,
Often I thought my time waste.
I got to hate you from our first date.
Can’t you see you had very bad taste?

But many times I look back and laugh,
Moments I had to touch toes,
From our first date, you, I got to hate.
I thank you still though, for friends and foes.
