A Painful Prayer

I thought because I trust in you
I would never find tears or pain
Stories were told of trying tests
I didn’t know I was soon to taste
It’s now personal.

My prayers have turned to babbles
My tongue twist to face my battles
Knees bend low to reckon his will
Through the waters I walk daunting
Will my peace be still?

Though shall not worry I was taught
I fear my tears will defame God
It’s time to cry with an aching
The yeast for my faith to rise
I still believe you!
