Thank you, all the same

One day you’re with me, next day you’re with him,
Telling me the same things you told him too.
I wondered how you had loved the two of us.

But I was blind so I rode on the bus.
And all this fine girls I had stopped to woo.
You were perfect on a body so slim.

I still can’t believe you left me for Jim.
Though we had bonded much stronger than glue.
Now our story is not one to discuss.

Now I wish we made twice a syllabus.
I lost both the war and you in the coup.
All that I do now is writing a hymn.

Thank you all the same, though you broke my heart.
Evil thoughts as I listen to Mozart.

Younglan.
