And so it came to pass (II)

Once upon a time,
In a heart not very distant from the town
Death reeked all over,
And its inhabitants were crows and vultures
Looking out for blood, and flesh to quench their thirst.
It was dark, not conducive for life
It was ravaged by thunderstorms,
and cloud as dark as a moonless night.
Her eyes ran out of tears,
She poured them all out hoping it would wash her pain away
There was no point leaving anymore,
but death chose to live in her heart
rather than take her life away.
The world moved on,
Hers stopped revolving that night
Mother always preached how much her husband would love it,
She didn’t love him or know his last name
But he snatched her most priceless possession from her,
The world died that night,
a bullet for every thrust, it was endless.

It was lonely,
It was quiet,
She was in the midst of a multitude,
but she was invincible to them all,
she mastered the art of been night in daylight
she felt naked and felt no shame about it.
