Raindrops on Roses

Raindrops on Roses
And whiskers on kittens,
Short poems and proses
From verses unwritten,
Rodents and roughages biting to feed,
Flours and powers and something to knead.

Students in classes and bikers on glasses,
Mondays and Tuesdays and the whole week just passes,
Gardens and orchids and colours and greens,
Nothing can better explain what this means.

Daylight appears when we wake in the morning,
Thunder at night is a beautiful warning,
Rainfall that scatters the sleep we adore,
Strangers that hate coming in through the door.

When it’s night time,
When I’m sleepy,
When I’m feeling scared,
I simply admire this creature called me,
And feed her my tea and bread.
