Water Won’t Quench This Thirst

In her thoughts, she knows what she wants
In reality she’s a restless soul
Squirming, yearning, reaching into a realm unknown.
She finds what she likes, but it’s not what she wants.

Galaxies milking their best to please her
Yet, she can’t stop herself from dreaming.
Dreams filled with something new,
Of a thing, place, and life she once knew.
It’s like a plague with 21 breast.
The pestilence of a deadly beast.
You can’t drink one without tasting the rest.

She has drank from skulls and bleeding veins
Drank through troughs that burst into flames.
She has rummaged through pages
But found the madness of nothingness.
She has drank from love but ended up drunk with worn out feelings.
