Forgive Me If I Don’t Believe You

Forgive me if I don’t believe you
Because I walked past the lane
No clue I was ever there before
Believe is a difficult word near the junction
I can’t forgive the lies carved by your lips

If rain did not fall
I would your tears have seen
So was the heat of the sun
That I missed your sweat
I have to look at the sun
To believe it is night

Once I heard you will swindle me
Not of money but my heart
I saw your lips faintly denying
In foolishness I wanted to be a child
But wisdom is the disease of the aged
Just forgive me if I don’t believe you
