In The Middle Of A Dream

In the middle of a dream,
I saw Nebuchadnezzar, Jesus and a Gringo Rat.
They stood like heirs growing in my sleep.
Each had a case I may call briefー
Nebuchadnezzar had a garden growing rocks,
Jesus was the G.O.A.T that didn’t bleat.

Nights in white satins when goats don’t bleat,
made me know the fraudster called me into a dream
To make my body feel like falling rocks,
and end with a Nebuchadnezzar, Jesus and a Gringo Rat,
the same rat whose story looked so brief.
It wore a necklace that fell Night to a sleep.

Deep in my dreams whenever I sleep,
you look like a goat, except you don’t bleat.
And such horrible dreams do not come with a brief,
I’d have named it short-coming dream
that came with Nebuchadnezzar, Jesus and a Gringo Rat.
If this dream is true, cast me with rocks.
