The People We Love
They come in all skins, sometimes in weird shades
But webs they weave round our hearts we can’t break
Leaving us where spades are no longer spades.
They come with bitter and sweet like a cake
Yet they still stay like frogs in our water;
The nightmare in our heads we cannot shake.
In their broken mirrors we look better
Before hurt and joy, they leave us confused
Worlds may burn, with them nothing does matter
We’re a mixture of good and bad diffused
Same one that comes naked may wear a clothe
Those time where the North and south are infused
Though sometimes we love, we’re sometimes loath
In spite, we love as though we’re under oath
