The People We Love

To those who we’re ready to send a dove,
are those we don’t ever want to maltreat,
for they’re part of the few we truly love.

We’re always here for them, we don’t retreat,
always want to see them from time to time.
Our kindness to them, we always repeat.

Together we go hunt for birds with lime,
we trust them with our life, they’re never fake,
they understand us well, they sometimes mime.

We count on each other and not forsake,
never allow one another to mow,
our sense of humor they always awake.

Our love story deserves to be on show,
