Poetry: The Sun in the Rain

raininthesun

Water is to light
As stars are to skies at night;
Selfsame sesame .

Bringing total cleansing home,
Fixing doors of light and hope.

We sprout with the fields,
Waking from our winter sleep
With sheets, scores to keep.

Pouring, lavishing sunshine,
Sparkles of unforeseen pain.

The rays and the dew,
sweetly, ignite with a hue.
As love takes a cue.

Jots of yellow crystalline,
Swirling below the baseline.

We grew into flames
and our ashes followed death.
We left as memoirs .

Clearly we now see it all,
Mixing these feelings till dawn.

When a calf is born,
The sun will shine in the rain.
The elephant myth.
