Poetry: Big Brother

“This is Big Brother”
He called all into the next house
With a room to expose their grouse
Then one to the other turned spouse
In a thick voice he calls

“This is Big Brother”
A House of truth or dare
With love and stories to share
Surrounded by tasks that scare
In a thick voice he calls

“This is Big Brother”
Where the diary room has no pen
A place for wise women and men
Bally, Marvis, Efe, kemen
In a thick voice he calls

Bangwan.

This is my big brother
All frowns, a few smiles
So stern, he hates lies
Playing mum, playing nice
My hero, my masquerade

This is my big brother
Carefully carving memories
Filling up my diaries
Beating up my enemies
My hero, my masquerade

This is my big brother
A circuit to my short fuse
A latch to my rude muse
The boat to my cruise
My hero, my masquerade

In 1984
An eye became the telescreen
The lid was never seen
Reason was the last to win
Or so they said until we saw

In 1984
Dying was a common gift.
Failing was the usual lift
Control was the fragrance sniffed.
Or so they said until we saw.

In 1984
There was a figurehead
Only in my head
Nonexistent, probably dead.
Or so they said until we saw.

=================================

The tide was high, a rolling dice.
Eye of God is everywhere.
Each move his daily care,
Walls manned by Ninjas, still we dare.
Big could be small and brother not.

The tide was high, a rolling dice.
Buzzers signaled a new presence.
Lights don’t douse out its fluorescence.
Peace was stirred, draining essence.
Big could be small and brother not.

The tide was high, a rolling dice.
Fear, howling winds like Halloween .
With tricks and treats you’ll love to win.
Bonds were broke where love is seen.
Big could be small and brother not.

My big brother,
The day my pen will grow up wild
I’ll write of you in ink this mild
Of all the pains your chin had smiled.
Your pupils reflect me in them.

My big brother,
The stronghold I hold strong.
The strings my ties belong.
The fusion in blood’s new song.
Your pupils reflect me in them.

My big brother,
When kings brag of thrones
Pearls and precious stones
I’ll sing of you in flesh and  bones.
Your pupils reflects me in them.

Bamvi.

====================================

The store room is now open mates
Gloomy hearts became excited
Different dishes decided
In a one house yet divided.
This is big brother’s discipline

The store room is now open mates
Head of house had the final say
Whether to use resources lay
It was a heated day, some pray
This is big brother’s discipline

The store room is now open mates.
Freeze! You can’t take the free supply!
I love to watch tears you apply
See long souls that you can’t reply
This is big brother’s discipline

=============================

In the house
There was a voice
There were unseen eyes so poise
That’s terrifying, but their choice
So much for a game with no rules

In the house
life was on set
Betrayals, friendships, love, lies, sex
90 days playing on next
So much for a game with no rules

In the house
Fourteen of them, strangers all
Yet on one big brother they call
Though friends, but one win and all fall
So much for a game with no rules

========================

Big brother’s bag of loyalty
Held in heart’s grip with skill
Left the home of natural chill
Like washed contour on a hill.
Service to the fatherland!

Big brother’s bag of loyalty
Designed with youthful hedges
On every side and edges
Stuffed with clothes of pledges.
Service to the fatherland!

Big brother’s bag of loyalty
Driven by the wheel(will) of Fred
Painted with the sweat he bled
Unto the north where heat is red.
Service to the fatherland!

Solomon.
