Poetry: Her Dreams | Jamila Idriss (Hijab Gurl)
A place where she visits beyond eyes could reach
Ears’ never heard nor any in the know
From chaos, hurt and agonies she’d flee
A castle built by her, where delight flowed
Wings spread out like a bird’s under the blue sky
Where mysteries abound and excitement growed.
Fountain of love and peace, never to run dry
Body sinks as her eyes open, it all was an illusion
Either it be a nightmare or a fantasy.
Sleep was more soothing than being awake
Dreaming had become her joy, it made her sane
The best it brought forth, her heart set to make.
She dreams of happiness, a life without pain
With a rainbow after a stormy rain.
