A Simple Tree!
The
roots of this
poem lives in words
during the enunciation
of hyperbole and foreshadowing.
No wonder the branches are similes.
The leaves are like metaphors.
brown as humans and green
like the earth’s child.
I’m
only
here
to
see
what
hope
my seed has found buried in this pool of life.

Like
An oak
Standing by the
Sea shore, her roots stay
Shallow yet she thrives
Unaware of the strive outside
Her zone and blind of what she
owns. She hates what she
has and envy the nothing
Others pray to escape.
We are family
We love
Hate
Smile
we cry
Hurt
Fall
Grow
Break
Mend
The Markus’s
The whirlwind blew but our roots grew
The wolfs howled, we stood strong holding hands. Tee2emm

He
Swayed where
The wind breaths,bowing
to its bites and wits
His roots pierced deep the
Earth,crawling to the core
Of Hades. He was an oak yet
He shivered like naked scrubs
Scared of the trampling feet
Of nature,so he shrunk his
Core, shaded his leaves,
Sapped the juice out
Of his trunk
Yet
We
Saw
The
Oak,
We
Gasped
In
Awe
Yet
He
Lived and dined as the uncomplicated
Trees of the shallow woods. We saw a.hero, he saw and felt like a simple TREE…-Omolola

Once
upon a root a little tree was found
And each nerve dug so deep into the
ground. The days showed up bright red and sunny
and the nights claimed rains too dead and heavy. The weeks
that came carried barks to hide her skin. The months that followed
lowered leaves of color green. We forgot about the branches but they came too
The seed finally disappeared and then came the fruits. The city overfed and the ground ate the few
And the night
and morning
kiss gave birth
to the dew.
So once upon
a tree her
little roots went
deep And here
stands the outcome
: as you sow you’d
reap.-Leon
