on one side of the divide,
nothing is ever a mistake
it was always prearranged
like a newly bought deck
this is where all the water came
when all the water dried up.
and on the other side; laughable,
an association of dysfunctionalities
everything seemed normal
prearranged misfortune, material,
machinery in place to keep you small
beaten, battered, and bruised
the brown grass does not leave here.
