Options

a lack of choice is false
it may be a lack of thought
or a lack of freedom to think
or an intentional will to hide
choices make us live
to tell a lie and stand by it
to leave a lover & sip their tears
to bid bye and expect a wave
to smile at a man and keep a knife
to look at the sky and doubt the myth
sometimes, to die is a choice
some people live like a cat
and to be born is a choice
made without the ward’s consent.
