Something to say

Test

the world is a trial lab
we are God’s litmus papers
“let me throw grief to see what’s next”
we are to react to situations and tests
by reciting stories in pre-written books
from Bethlehem to Mecca to Borobudur
to give alms and expect an arm in return.
say
not a word of doom no matter the mood
we are to break the wind’s flow with tears,
to pray to God & believe the rain is a reply
we are God’s litmus papers
to live towards being lifted above the blue
or risk being burnt in a colour equal to red
to find a source of pain and refuse to stab.
