This is the first time I chew light so well
My stomach burns from radiance
My arteries brighten, light the
way for my blood to flow past, I’m open.

Stunned: I have learned that some winds are too strong
for books unblinded. I’m without
glue, my pages part ways without
a farewell or a final note, they run.

I run, from everyone who has picked a
page of me on the street, and say clearly
that I’m an open river, Drink, wash that
grief off your face, I can take it.
