Ten more than a country

One Nigeria has always been
a farce. Too many cooks
spoil the broth so, one cook,
one cauldron, a flick of fire
on every dry human, every
citizen whose ways are
askance, one pitch fork.
In ten years,
I want my country to be
an open field, empty
void like in the beginning.
Scattered across the earth,
scarce and suppressed by
the good or the bad
somewhere else.
