The poetry of pen and paper

They live in mansions
Houses with swimming pools
With dinner tables set in the gardens
But they write of poverty on the streets .

They stay in big cities
Surrounded by skyscrapers
And luxury cars on every road
Yet they write of fresh green fields in the village.

You profess love
For the black African woman
Yet your jaw drops open for a white.
Your pen feels different from you

I lie,
But not with my heart
Not with paper and pen
I put them firmly under control .
