where we were molded by writings
of gods when they were men
that carved stars to align their paths.

Italy (Tiber)
a fence placed in the center of our sweat
it formed art and married our inks
swelling
the chimes that sleep with our deaths.

Syria
an inscription of laws guiding the path
of our stars, and places of moon.
with a spiritual wand of birthing water.

there’s a writing in Greek of horses
so is there water in Rome.
a mixture of these two heal a world
and leaves it with a name ‘mural’
