Reply to Rudy Francisco’s ‘Ouch’

if i got a schedule
for every activity of each day
before the day starts
maybe i’d be able to pick
what battles to fight
and the ones to completely ignore.

today, i woke up enthusiastic
and couldn’t find
any explanation for that
unusually hungry for food,
for fun and company
till i picked the wrong battle
with the wrong enemy
and today will be
a yesterday i do not want
to remember.
