pack your bags and gather your things
your hours, your dime and your fingers
today we’ve lost relief that comes
with musing, amusement won’t dare.

what madness made me hire someone
who chooses to listen at will
she types and titles and quotes
her thoughts. what sort, what type of skill

now we have more stories to tell
more record, more truth to replay
our muse and thoughts led us to hell-
more memoirs we have lost to today.
