My Amanuensis

anything beyond human need
can, would, should, will poison humans
like burdens breaking man into
tiny crumbs not heavy for ants
to carry so man must carry
that earth would not swallow purpose
that blood flowing through veins would not
be vain vanity resting on
vanity. our chores are many.
age doesn’t come to he who lives
so death comes only to rescue
problems from he who has learnt to
fight crumbs by crumbs till big becomes
too small to be an obstacle.
