Take sorrow’s hand

My father taught me sorrow.
He showed me,
that a man must know pain
Only then will he learn to be joyful
Laughter doesn’t heal pain
Pain cannot kill happiness
Only more pain can drown pain
If life gives you one cup, add another
The more, the better
A man must know pain to know life
If you run from the pain,
You would only run into more pain.
He taught me, a well can swallow a man
But a well will help quench a man’s test.
