It’s either we live or don’t survive
I prayed for miracles, that we may thrive
An itch in the throat and paranoia sets in

The fear of drowning on dry ground
I’ve felt the pangs of panic rush
When my food supply went short
Everyday became a Halloween party
The mask served more than one purpose
The dark thoughts we could not utter
The streets held grudges with their silence
Soon we all retired from compliance
