As small as Lagos is…

Before this story begun
There were more stories to tell
Of cactus and surviving
Jerrycans and a camel’s journey
Where monkeys work and
Baboons feed
Story of a caste
Everyone is aware of
But none would say a word
There’s one about the struggle
To climb out of hell
With angels guarding the gates
Fingers are not equal
But fingers shouldn’t be treated differently
A new story would write itself
But these pages carry
Blood, death and fire.
