Along River Tiber

In the kingdom
along river tiber
a child knight
was to fight the king
for a token, to be free.
The king was betrothed to his niece
he was broken
for he was denied his right
to choose a wife
and be free.
He must fight
against a miserable king
to be given blessings and to be
betrothed to the king’s daughter.
He tied his sword
and saved his word
to bring victory in that fight.
He was the winner
He gets the daughter
he saved his niece
the kingdom was free.
