Mother Nature

Dear mother earth
Thank you for all the mirth
But I want answers to
These secrets we can’t unearth

Could it be that
Death is a punishment?
Is it that when you’re bored
You send an earthquake
Or a tsunami to a land?
Or send a turbulence
To the ocean as a gift?
Is it because we turn
Your green to death and
Cut your trees to sticks?
You give us air to breathe
Only to one day cease,
Is this how you choose to reign
That when sad, you send down the rain?

Dear mother earth
Thank you for all the mirth
But I want some answers to
These secrets we can’t unearth
