Men Locked Down

If only I had known then that
The rise of my dawn will fall
With nobody and nowhere to go
I would have kissed for longer
I wouldn’t have a complaint
To stay at home for a month
Or more, and Ramadan is near
I have to mind my cravings
The confluence wouldn’t flow
And water will be water, not wine
I have to stay home to be alive
And stay home to be fair to God
No, I am not crying, that is sweat
No, I am not sad, this is my real face
Ramadan will bring the needed repose
