You may say i’m a dreamer
Build homes for the aged
Build homes for the aged in my village
Mending the roofs
Dry bones truly don’t rise again
Unless they are helped.
They creak, shrink and cause lots of ache
Especially when they are forgotten,
Abandoned, and
Left to dry in houses not suitable for them
I would raise their old homes to the ground
Secure them a family to house them.
I would pay men and women
To be sons and daughters of these ones
To gather water, cement and stones
To solidify the foundation,
They’d mix and block by block raise a roof
One block for each of them
A fire place to keep them warm
A living room to meet and greet
A bed to tend to their bones at night
A small poultry to keep them active
And a garden to help them
enjoy the beauty of nature.
Everything moderately small
So they don’t have to walk too much.
