Super Muri Quod Rimas

This wall that has been built
for a thousand years will crack eventually,
maybe it will tear like the curtain
in the temple when Jesus died.
The secret place
shall no longer belong
to priests and Levites alone,
poets have equal access
to the secrets of God.
The cracks on the wall are widening,
a grain of weathered rock
after a grain of sand.
If you can see through, then you are blessed,
if you cannot, then your blessing is different;
your blessing is to listen attentively
to those who are blessed with the gift
of accessing the secret places.
