Something Nobody Knows

If I leave this market
Without selling what I brought
Love, empathy and kindness
My soul will be troubled
Knowing I had the power to
But didn’t help feed a mouth
Didn’t help clothe a bare body
Didn’t cover a bare feet
I may not rest in peace
“Povertiphobia”
A word I made to name my fear
Philophobia
For this, I know you’ll give quotes you don’t use. It’s fine
And where my words should go
That I don’t send them to
Will forever be my jar of regret
Unless in those cases
Where to ignore is human
And acting foolishly is divine

Not everyday is a shopping spree
But the best of life comes for free
You just have to learn the right price
For everything.
Sometimes, it’s not the act
But the contentment that follows
I know you
And how you’re driven to kindness
Like the jokes you crack
To make me laugh
The time you take
To read my lines
The length you go
To cross towards my bright side
And evading the shadows that follow
You are you
You are human
Make the mistakes now
Cause tomorrow you’ll master them all.
