How Cats Fly

Cats do not possess any wings
Their supposed feathers are toxic
Hear the cries of the allergic
When their fur, to your skin, sticks, clings

Tickles your nose till you sneeze
Chokes you till you can’t breathe
Poisons your eye until they itch
So bad you wish you were blind
Heaven either blessed this creature and cursed me
Or cursed this creature and blessed me.

Cats fly when they try to mimic
Witches that ride with capes of kings
And breach nature’s order of things
Parading with eyes, angelic

Their whiskers are swords
To tear your health apart
And look cute in the act
Choke you and look nice
Until even a subtle meow
is a call to war.

Volar es volar
Un gato solo persigue.
