Anna Akhmatova & Wislawa Szymborska on “Lot’s Wife”

1. A journey and an innocent hold of the known
2. Her memories of Sodom are mostly positive despite the evil the land bore, she has pleasant memories to hold unto
3. Bad government and recession
4. She feels he is an obedient man who would not mind her dying while on the quest to satisfy his righteous assignment.
5. I think she understands why she looked back, leaving her comfort zone wasn’t her first choice and curiosity they say kills the cat. Sodom was once a wealthy place, anyone would have wanted to see the ruins.
6. It is not a religious piece because religion is devoid of reasoning.
7. Anna Akhmatova’s piece is my favorite because it is shorter and easier to comprehend
8. Wislawa Szymborska’s sheds light on Lot’s wife’s point of view
9. Wislawa Szymborska’s
10. Anna Akhmatova’s took Lot’s point of view while Wislawa Szymborska’s took Mrs. Lot’s point of view. Both employed imagery to express their opinions
