Venice, Italy
Where Mark Basilica lies receiving more colors than the rainbow
The floating city,
Lives on a group of 118 small islands
Even heaven has a road, but not Venice
Each island is linked to the other over bridges
I have seen and read more of the earth’s beauty
But my eyes have never seen one like Venice
Venice bears the mark of wars, revivals and art
Every color complimenting the next
Like the waters approve of the sky
With streets serenaded by classical music,
Bustling traffic and bright night light
I’d love to take a walk through her streets with the one who has my heart.
