Tell this tom boy to act a little more like one with a fleshy heart
Fresh guy, smells a mix of a happy home and purple perfume,
Smiles like the petals of a flower hit by the sun.
My mind racing, “write him a letter, write him a poem, write him a smile”,
But he did first, a 20 lined poem of one word per line
My teeth became keys of a piano, playing melodious smiles,
My heart a satellite, echoing this day dream twenty four seven.
We held hands, palms on palms, soft like a babies bum,
We fought demons, fears and food addictions,
We chased goals; we loved J-Cole and almost exchanged souls,
Never the type to chat, we adored physical contact,
Heads on shoulders, watch the sun-set, adore the alphabets,
Our date nights were BITCOIN lecture classes,
Our movie nights were bedroom cinemas in cuddled embraces,
Our fun times were hours of dissecting poems to a futile end
Our bond was a pure dream, an endless smile, a long walk, a joyful cry
Our bond was a mirror, a reflection only known to us
But love could wrinkle at any time,
If we’d iron things out, take a plug
My adult heart is a toddler to love.
