More Than Mere Alphabets

L are 26 letters we always read, write,
M is the mind and choice for what is right,
N is nobody without stains to their white,
O is an opening that dares every knight,
P is a pen mightier than any might,
Q is quite interested in seeing the light,
R wants a revolution, wants to put up a fight,
S is the loud silence art brings to plight,
T is Tomide. I am Q and R; a painful delight,
U are ugly like me, we all boast of blind sight,
V is the vigour I find to perform my rite,
W is Williams’s knowledge from which I take a byte,
X is for Malcolm and other writers beneath our height,
Y are your words that will forever live a kite.
Z is art’s zebra, some love and others despite.
