I OWE NO ONE

Might choose to believe earth is flat,
The sun shamelessly wears no cloth,
Air we breathe out is oxygen,
And two plus two is twenty-two.
I’ll tell lies like I know no truth,
Break laws for that’s what they’re made for,
I’m debt free, ask my conscience,
The moon and stars are my cousins,
I owe no explanation how.
I’m so rich I own peace of mind,
Contented with how God sets time,
Too generous, I show true love,
Not that I owe, a choice I made,
One known debtor I have is time,
Thing I owe and I’ll pay is death.
