What Do You Fear?

Dear Light,

A lot of things scare me
especially friends that sting like a bee.
Here is a list for all those who think I’m weak,
choose my demon, use strength whenever you pick.
I fear a cold room that pretends to be home,
it comforts my deeds so I don’t ever roam.
I fear the jungle of feelings that lie,
those that tie the truth above the clouds of the sky.
I fear when God wears an earpiece,
no amount of plea will make a perfect piece.
I fear the traffic lights on my heart,
if I’m not in control, it splits me into parts.
I fear pylons that serve meals before grace,
they’re neatly dressed for cows to still graze.
I fear demons with wings and a halo
especially those whose race is of Afro.
I fear a melanin that is indecisive,
it’s a wall that can be abrasive.
I fear absolutely the fear of what I hold dear,
the feeling of longing for what won’t be there.
I fear when the rain falls in my sleep,
it may flood the earth and remove those sins that are deep.
I fear that mentors can become enemies,
still not far from a hypocrite or those Pharisees.
So for all who page the wrong of my sea,
I’d tear each day and drop my words for free.

Yours fearfully holding the Light.
