Why Do People Die?

How long should a person mourn?
A day, a week, a year, a century
To think that time would pass,
and walk past the clock from sorrow to joy in minute hands,
When the clock is scared of losing time
and our heart beats dances to each second
When we knead our need to pray and fall prey to death’s claws.
The white bearded know not the answer
Who then do we ask?
