Count Your Blessings

First, nights are untamed lurking fangs of evil. Pacing corners and shadows, strolling across dreams behind innocent lids, seeking vulnerable hearts to camp. Fortunately dawn is a promise, that though the night may toss and turn us from fear to danger, dawn brings safety, serenity and an assurance of heavenly company.

Second, nights are untamed fangs of evil. Voodoos on jet packs of fear and old women on groundnut barks. Nights are times to count sins and short comings, hoping they won’t obstruct our chances of drinking from the morning sun. Nights are times to pray for mercies, and dawn is a time to count your blessings and understand that mercy dwells before judgment finds a home.
