This Is His Message
Some truth are engraved in mythology,
Just a little beyond the eye lid.
Placed with precision that understanding finds it foggy,
But it’s an auction we dare not bid.
It covers every human area.
We experience it repeatedly without learning,
Like a child with dyslexia.
Does he come to emphasize I’m a mere human being?
Does death come to remind us of our mortality?
Does he come to humiliate us?
He comes to return us to humility,
We count our teeth with our tongues thus.
Dread daring death for it dawns when it’s due,
Thence lessons to learn, though the heeding are few.
