I once met an angry Wasp.

The lamps were silenced by the evening breeze
Nothing was heated except the leftover rain
The roof kept screaming again and again
Waiting for the whirling window to cease.

The dust was seated across me with ease
The webs were like the cobs had come to train
The debris that piled up would still remain
For whatever demons they’ve come to appease.

And there it was hung, having a bad day
Mad at the weather, and mad at us all
It came at me clearly for intruding

Forgetting that the rain brought me her way.
She kissed me and pushed me against the wall
And left like a lover who’s caught cheating.
