Escape listening to sounds from the street,
Scent from odours and armpits to roll,
Small denominations are for offering-
Not to avoid the mate’s troll,
Heads of Muslims to the ground; Bowed
Eyes close tonight to ignore the cock crow,
Games, determinant for next week’s glow,
No set rules or deadlines to be met.
Sneakers reignite friendship with heels,
Knots are to tie as meals are to eat,
Ears are to sound as legs are to dance,
Wishes are for this moment to last,
Where one can hide from dents of the past,
But it’s just another ‘china’ Friday,
Bills await this day to request,
Debts of visits hoping to be paid.
Just another Friday in Noah’s ark,
Monday lies waiting at the next park
Alongside other weekdays, prepared-
To graduate another set of depressed,
There’s little to be excited about-
It’s just one of those 52 Fridays!
