All I want is to be free.
Some say as the birds,
But not even the birds know this.
Some get to the sky,
Others know there’s a limit,
And some are yet to even grow wings.
All I want is to be me,
To not be seen as brave or fickle,
To never claim that I can save people,
To use the mud underneath my shoes as plot for my story.
All I want is a cup of tea;
Hot with the steam that comes with a temper,
The kind that numbs your tongue but heals what’s wrong.
All I want is to be like the sea,
Allow my sunlight scatter my molecules.
All I want is to be like a tree,
Feet firmly planted, with drops of fruits
Holding tiny little creatures
All I want is everything;
An end to the war
Hate we can ignore
Love over all,
Nothing more that I can ask for.
