Peculiar Mess (Penkelemes)

History is optional, it read.
But sixty years and still counting,
Adelabu was actually right,
We all eat and want back our bread.

We live the life we dream in our head,
We’re still suffering and smiling,
Our ‘penkelemesi’, we don’t fight,
Rather, more mess, we help to spread.

Oyo, thanks for the laughter you shed,
Osoyinka, thanks for speaking,
But we need more than words for this plight,
Else this mess would become a thread.

History is optional, it read.
But sixty years and still counting
Adelabu was actually right,
We all eat and want back our bread.
