Thank you, all the same

To the clouds that knocked, but chose to stay away
The nights that brought out every vice of fear
And brought a thousand reasons to stay in bed

Look before you think of leaping, Dad said
Better days rarely speak for a whole year
Thank you for teaching not all wants do pay

Bad days come, but good ones also betray
The smell of rain to the heart means a cheer
Everything comes to life even the dead

Before me was dark clouds, i chose to tread
My weather forecast for days, so unclear
One day you were my world, now we don’t play

I’ll blow one for the time we spent as pair
I guess i choked, but you’re looking for air
